The purpose of this course is to teach the participants how to use the SimCorp Dimension embedded Data Extraction functionality to create basic Data Extractions. The focus will be on providing the participants with hands-on experience with the Extraction Definition, Extraction Setup, Extracts Exporter, Extracts Viewer and Extraction Validator forms. During the course basic functionality such as the Data Dictionary Browser, Formulas, Aggregated Functions, Grouping and Plug-ins will be covered. The participants will, furthermore, be taken through more advanced functionality covering In-line Views, Sub-Queries and Dex-in-Dex.

Course Duration
The Data Extractor (basic) seminar is a 2-day training programme. The course ends with a one hour certification exam.

Target group The Data Extractor seminar is targeted at clients who work with SimCorp Dimension reporting or integration

Pre-requisites
Participants should have a basic understanding of databases, fields, tables, joins, SQL and how to use Technical Help in SimCorp Dimension.
